The CERTH Lifelong Learning Centre (CERTH LLC) is built on the collaboration of a multidisciplinary team with a shared goal: to connect research, knowledge, and innovation with education and lifelong learning.

Leadership

Governance framework & operations

The Centre operates under the supervision of the CERTH Board of Directors, while its administrative, organisational, and operational responsibility lies with the Head of the Directorate of Education and Certification, in accordance with Board decisions.
The Centre's operation is supported by distinct roles in leadership, coordination, scientific responsibility, technical management, and administrative support.

Responsibilities

  • Supervision and coordination of the operation of CERTH LLC.
  • Design and development of educational and training programmes.
  • Quality assurance and evaluation of programmes.
  • Collaboration with CERTH Institutes and partner organisations.

Scientific and Administrative Committee

Evaluation & recommendations

The Scientific and Administrative Committee supports the operation of CERTH LLC in an advisory and consultative capacity, contributing to recommendations and the evaluation of matters related to educational programmes.

Composition: The Committee is established in accordance with the Internal Rules of Operation of CERTH LLC and consists of the Head of the Directorate of Education and Certification and representatives of CERTH Institutes.

Scientific Team

Content & responsibility

The support of CERTH LLC's programmes is based on researchers, specialised scientific staff, and partners with expertise in the subject area of each programme. For each educational programme, a Scientific Coordinator is appointed in accordance with the prescribed procedures.

Role

  • Design of programmes that connect research with training.
  • Supervision of content and teaching methodology.
  • Ensuring scientific validity and pedagogical quality.
The team collaborates with CERTH Institutes in the design and implementation of educational programmes.

Support Structures

The operation of CERTH LLC is supported by:

  • The Administrative Secretariat, which coordinates registrations, communication, and participant support.
  • The Technical Support Department, which ensures the smooth operation of digital tools (Moodle, Webex, portal).
  • The Quality Assurance Unit, which oversees evaluation, documentation, and certification procedures.

CERTH Institutes

CERTH LLC operates in close connection with CERTH Institutes, drawing on research knowledge, technological expertise, and innovative applications in education.
