Short Profile

Christina Mykoniou is a Civil Engineer (Dipl. Eng.) with a Master’s specialization in Earthquake-Resistant Design and a PhD Candidate at the School of Architecture, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH), focusing on circular economy in the built environment.

Since 2023, she has been working as an R&D Research Associate at the Innovation Cluster IsZEB, and since 2026 she serves as the Cluster Coordinator.

Experience & Role

She has over 10 years of experience in technical studies and the implementation of energy upgrades in buildings, across both the public and private sectors.

She participates as a trainer and speaker in seminars and workshops for engineers, students, and businesses, covering topics such as energy efficiency, the Smart Readiness Indicator (SRI), Building Information Modelling (BIM), circular economy, and digital transformation. She also has teaching experience in courses related to computational tools for building energy assessment and retrofitting.

She has presented at international and national conferences and is the author of scientific publications in the field of sustainable construction.

She is a member of the European Working Group (WG3) on the SRI and has a strong interest in promoting knowledge on emerging technologies and sustainability practices in the construction sector.
